Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
The service
Hey Freya is an AI-powered code scanning service operated by Benedikt Kraus, Kierberger Str. 25, 50969 Cologne, Germany. By using Hey Freya you agree to these terms.
Your code
Code you submit remains yours. You retain all intellectual property rights. By submitting code you grant us a temporary, limited license to process it for the purpose of generating your scan report — nothing else.
Your code is never stored permanently. It is analyzed and deleted. Scan results (findings, not source code) are stored for 90 days.
Scan accuracy
Hey Freya uses AI models to detect patterns and issues. Results are best-effort and not guaranteed to be complete or correct. We may miss real bugs (false negatives) and flag things that are not bugs (false positives). Do not use scan results as the sole basis for security decisions. Always review findings before acting on them.
Acceptable use
You may not use Hey Freya to:
- Scan code you do not own or have explicit permission to analyze
- Attempt to extract training data or reverse-engineer our models
- Abuse the API in ways that degrade service for other users
- Circumvent access controls or rate limits
Payments
Paid plans are billed via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. No refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
Availability
We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees. We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice for breaking changes to paid plans.
Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of scan results, including security incidents, data loss, or business interruption. Our liability is capped at the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by German law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Cologne, Germany.
